He was the 2nd but eldest surviving son of John Wroth. ===Marriage=== Before 1517 he married Jane Haute, widow of Thomas Goodyere of Hadley Esq and daughter of Sir Thomas Haute of Waddenhall. ===Issue=== They had four sons and two daughters between their marriage in 1517 and his death in 1535. #[[Wroth-4|Sir Thomas Wroth]], b. Durants 1518, married Mary Rich. #Oliver, #William, #John#[[Wroth-1|Dorothy]], b. Enfield, 1525, and married Edward Lewknor Esq; #Susan, wife of Richard Raymond and of Sir George Penruddock). Some genealogies show Robert and Jane to also be the parents of [[Wroth-24|Elizabeth]] Wroth, b. 1527 in Quinton, Gloucestershire, and married William Brent, August 2, 1546. There is no evidence, however, that her maiden surname was Wroth; The Brent family plaque described there names her as Elizabeth but without identifying her family.
