      == Biography ==James was a member of the Company of Merchant Taylors. He was second Warden of the Company in 1488, <ref>Clode, Charles Mathew, 1818-1893'' The early history of the Guild of Merchant Taylors of the fraternity of St. John the Baptist, London, with notices of the lives of some of its eminent members.''       James had his will drawn up on 27 April 1526. He described himself as James Wylford, Citizen and Merchant Taylor of London, and late alderman of the same.       He made bequests to:
