The following deed offers proof of the married names of the 4 daughters of Matthew Hawkins. (See the father's will)
23 SEP 1723 Indenture between '''Thomas Noland and Mary Noland his wife, John Cole and Dinah Cole his wife, Thomas Broad and Anna Broad his wife, and Rebeckah Hawkins''' on the one part and Lancelott Todd of Baltimore County. For twenty lbs. paid convey tract of land bought by Mathew Hawkins late of Balt. Co. deceased of Col. Thomas Hammond being part of a tract of land called Best Success lying on the south side of Patapsco River and on a branch called Long Bridge Branch. for 250 acs.
