  • Notes
    • Isaac Keyser is buried in the Old Wegee Cemetery on Cash Hill in Mead Township, Belmont County, Ohio. The cemetery is behind and to the north of an old picturesque country Methodist Episcopal Church. The oldest graves here date from about 1826.
Find A Grave calls this the Upper Wegee Cemetery but that is a fairly recent name given to the cemetery by local township employees. The historic name is Old Wegee Cemetery but it also found as the Old Wegee Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery or the Wegee United Methodist Church Cemetery<ref>"Your Guide to the Cemeteries of Belmont County, Ohio" published by the Cumberland Trail Genealogical Society, 2005.</ref>
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Isaac Keyser was my 3rd great-granduncle two different ways. He married Mary Ann Ambler when she was 18 and they had 9 children over the next 19 years. When Mary Ann died at the age of 44 Isaac was left with a farm to run and three of his children aged 10 or under.About a year and a half after Mary Ann's death Isaac married his housekeeper, Rebecca Steenrod, and they had 9 children of their own. The irony is that while Isaac fathered 18 children his twin brother Jacob had none.
Note: There are currently 10 children listed under Mary Ann Ambler due to duplicate John's. A merge has been requested.

'''1929 Death Certificate of Lucretia Keyser Kirkland, widowed daughter of Mary Ann Ambler and Isaac Keyser''' It is interesting to note that Lucretia returned to the USA homeland of her family - Pennsylvania.
