Robert Gorsuch was the son of Charles Gorsuch and Sarah Cole. No record of his birth has been found. He was married sometime around 1690 to Joanna --?--.<ref>Barnes, Robert W. Baltimore County Families, 1659-1759. Baltimore, Maryland: Clearfield, 1989. </ref>

This 5th day of June 1724. I Robert Gorsuch of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland being sick in body . . .
*I give to my son '''Daniel Gorsuch''' five shillings*I give to my son '''Robert Gorsuch''' that tract of land where I now dwell containing 500 acres. I also give to my son Robert the fourth part of my personal estate.*I give to my daughter '''Dorothy''' two cows & two calves, two ewes & two lambs to be delivered her at the age of 16 or the day of marriage.*I appoint my loving wife, '''Johanna Gorsuch''' my executrix and give all the remainder of my estate.Signed by Robert Gorsuch in the presence of Nicholas Rogers, John Thomas, Jon Gay. No information on Daniel & Dorothy Gorsuch has been found, but his son Robert Jr. was deceased before 1733 as a land deed dated 28 APR 1733 mentions a 500 acre tract of land that John Gorsuch heir of Robert Gorsuch, Jr. who died intestate and without heirs sold to Walter Dallas. John Gorsuch had to confirm the deed when Walter Dallas sold the land to the wealthy owners of the Baltimore Company: Benjamin Tasker, Charles Carroll, Daniel Duland, Charles Carroll of Annapolis & Daniel Carroll of Prince George's County.<ref> Baltimore County Land Records Liber IS L folio 372</ref>
