William P Workman was born 1746, the son of Abraham Workman and Annetje "Anna" Smith. He married Phoebe Critchfield in 1761. William passed away in 1836 and is buried in Davis Cemetery, Pultney Township, Belmont County, Ohio.
'''Note:''' A portion of the original 200 acre William and Phoebe Workman farm was set aside for the "Workman Hill Cemetery" (now Davis Cemetery) on Winding Hill. Phoebe and William are buried there, as are many of their descendants.
Davis Cemetery is also known as Davis-Workman Cemetery, Center Hill Cemetery and Protestant Cemetery. There is no surviving grave marker for William and Phoebe.
William is not buried in Workman Cemetery in Shadyside, Belmont County as his Find A Grave Memorial<ref>{{FindAGrave | 39034245}}</ref> indicates.
