==Biography==Teunis Derrick aka Tunis Dircksen; Tunis Dircksen of Buks (Bushwick (now Brooklyn), Kings County, Province of New York), farmer; m. Dec. 28, 1694, Cathanne Sprung. Resided on Noorman's Kil; on assessment roll of Bushwich of 1693 and cen. of 1698. In 1689 he was one of the soldiers sent to Albany, as per p. 216 of Vol. II. of Doc. His. of N. Y. <ref>Documents Relative to the Colonial History of the State of New-York</ref>. Issue:- Marretje, bp. Dec. 17, 1697; Anneke, bp. Sept. 7, 1698, in N. Y.; Lysbeth, bp. == Will Abstract ==Teunis Woertman's will was dated on 29 October 1729 I leave to my two sons, Derrick and Tunis, all my lands and meadows, to be divided in six weeks, and my son Derrick to have the first choice, and they are to pay £740, as follows: To my son John, £10, and £30 to my daughter Sarah, within one year. Of the remaining £700, they are to pay £60 a year to their brothers and sisters, viz.: John, Martha Simonsen, Hannah Jacobse, Elizabeth Schanck, Catharine Bennit, Harmety Duree (Duyee?), Sarah, Derrick and Tunis. I leave to my 3 sons, two negro men and one wench. To my daughter Sarah, a negro girl. To my daughter, Harmette Duree, 2 cows. The rest to all my children. I make three sons, executors. Witnesses: Hendrick Vandewater, Dirck Sprong, Josiah Furman.
