Mary White married twice. Her first marriage was to Thomas Carell, her second in about 1570 to William Lovelace, sergeant at law. <ref> Pleasants, J Hall "The Lovelace Family and Its Connections (Continued)" The Virginia Magazine of history and Biography, 1920 JSTOR [https://archive.org/stream/jstor-4243756/4243756#page/n3/mode/2up archive books online]</ref>As his widow, in January 1577/8 she made her will which was probated on April 29th of the same year.
