:Her name is spelled variously in church records as Elizabeth, Lysbeth, Lysbet. Her first recorded appearance in America was 7 Jul 1647 when she married Pieter Jansen Noorman (born in Norway). Elizabeth and Pieter were among the first settlers of the town of Bushwick, having purchased 130 acres of land in that area, located on the Eaast River. Elizabeth was living on and acquired title to this property at the time of her husband's death. She and her second husband, Joost Jansen Cocquit (bom at Brugge, Flanders, Belguini), made a joint will in 1688 giving the property to Teunis Woertman (son of her brother Dirck Jansen Woertman) in whose family it remained until 1785 and became known as the Woertman House.

: Elizabeth, as a widow, 10 Mar 1694/5 executed a codicil to the joint will, indicating that Joost died prior to that time. The will proved 01 Apr 1695, made bequests to nephews and nieces indicating that Elizabeth died without issue.
